Admitted to legal practice in 2008 and called to the Bar in 2018, Shaune first practiced as a family law solicitor, including as Principal Solicitor of the Cairns firm, Williams Family Law.
Shaune now practices exclusively in Family Law, and has Chambers in Cairns, Townsville and Mackay. Shaune has extensive experience in handling a wide range of parenting, matrimonial property, de facto property, and domestic violence related disputes. He regularly appears in Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Divisions 1 and 2) proceedings, and Magistrates Court proceedings throughout Central, North and Far North Queensland, for both private and legally aided clients.
Complementary to his litigation practice, Shaune is a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDR), Family Law Arbitrator, Nationally Accredited Mediator, Panel Mediator for the Dispute Resolution Branch (Dept. Justice & Attorney-General), and Minor Civil Dispute Advisory Mediator for the Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal.
Shaune holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons 1) from Charles Darwin University, a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Cross University, and a Masters of Laws from The College of Law.
